Our Story
Hello! We are Michelle Miranda and Jennifer Corteo, two Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners. After working together in a local psychiatric inpatient hospital, we began to see the gap in treatment options for individuals who do not respond to traditional treatment using standard psychiatric medication options. In order to address this issue, we decided to come together to create Solaris Integrative Psychiatry, a psychiatric treatment clinic offering specialized treatment options for depression and other mental health conditions.
Our Mission
At Solaris Integrative Psychiatry, our mission is to provide hope to individuals who struggle with debilitating mental health conditions. We accomplish this by offering specialized interventions that are not typically available in standard mental health clinics. We further aim to ensure accessibility and affordability for clients who would benefit from our services.

Michelle Miranda
I am a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with 9 years of experience in this role. I have experience working in a psychiatric emergency department, an acute inpatient mental health facility, and various outpatient settings including substance abuse treatment clinics and adolescent treatment programs. Each setting has provided unique experiences and challenges. Through all of my work as a mental health practitioner, I have recognized the need for something different, a new approach to treat those who are just not responding to traditional psychiatric treatment methods. I'm excited to be able to offer an alternative for those individuals through Solaris Integrative Psychiatry.

When I'm not working, I'm an avid reader, and enjoy cooking, camping, hiking, and skiing. I have two adopted dogs that I love cuddling with, including one with behavioral issues that I spend an ample amount of time training.

Jennifer Corteo
I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and co-owner of Solaris Integrative Psychiatry. I worked in critical care for eight years before transitioning into psychiatric nursing after recognizing the toll that untreated and undertreated mental health conditions were taking on my patients. As a psychiatric provider, it has become apparent that, even with the most evidence-based approach, standard medications so often fall short for many of my patients. My goal in this practice is to give hope to those for whom the current available options have not been successful.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, climbing and mountain biking. I’m also an avid SCUBA diver and will gladly tell you my “big fish” stories when asked.
